Shire Security Ltd was incorporated on the 13th May 1996 with Stanair Industrial Door Services Ltd as the holding company. This was the result of the takeover of a small local company, Shire Security, which at that time had been trading for 8 and a half years in the supply, installation, repair and maintenance of domestic burglar alarm systems.

The company has maintained its original services but has also expanded into the commercial market and added CCTV, Nurse Call Systems, Access Control and Physical Security equipment to its product range, such as Collapsible Grilles, Roller Garage Doors, and Electrically Operated Roller Shutters.

The company is now able to Uniquely offer “Layered Security” (physical and electronic) to its customers and plans to have an engineer operational from each of its holding companies depots (4 currently) within the mid term.

This standard it meets, but more often, Shire security Ltd is able to respond within an hour of receiving an emergency call. Currently, 100% of its emergency calls are attended within 4 hours, 92% within 2 hours, with the average response time being only 35 minutes. (Latest Official Response Figures).

Shire Security Ltd runs a fleet of 4 phone-linked vehicles to help it respond speedily from its Head Office location. Future sites are planned for Peterborough, Rugby and Milton Keynes.
