The chance to book everything for the perfect school prom!

The prom show took place at Holiday Inn, Corby - Kettering A43 on 26th January 2012, 6pm until 9pm.

There were a wide range of exhibitors and stands, from limos, dresses, hair & make-up, and a Hair & Fashion Show at 7.30pm by Askews Hairdressers, Kettering. Prizes won on the night included a prom dress up to the value of £300 from event sponsors Bonnie Brides and Grooms, as well as a £100 Voucher to spend at Ballgown Heaven, Uppingham.

This year's Spring Wedding Show is being held at the Kettering Conference Centre. Companies and organisations will be exhibiting their services or products for what will be a must-see show for any couples preparing to tie the knot.

From flowers and cakes to cars and photography you will be able to browse everything you need to make your big day go like a dream.

There will be fashion showcases at 11:30am 1:30pm, and experts will be on hand to offer you advice and take bookings, all under one roof.

WIN £300 towards your wedding! Come along on the day, register and you will be entered into a free raffle to win £300 to spend with any exhibitor at the show.

Pride in Harborough is a special awards event that recognises the achievements of special people within our area; those who have gone out of their way to help others, those who have overcome hardship and those who support a positive attitude within our community.

Do you know someone who has gone the extra mile to help others overcome hardship or someone who has offered their help and support for the community? Why not nominate them for an award to be presented on the night at our gala evening dinner?

The entry process is simple, visit the Pride in Harborough website for all the information. Find out all about the categories, what the judges will be looking for, and how to cover all the bases with your entry. Please give the judges as much information as possible to help them make up their minds.

The awards will be presented at a gala event on Thursday 29th March, 2012. It's sure to be a fantastic night celebrating all that's best about our area, and will give some very special people and organisations a well-deserved pat on the back. Tickets are £20 (Adults) and £15.50* (concessions) and include a three course meal.

Education Awards 2012

The Term-time education awards is a special event that recognises the achievements of special people within our schools and colleges; those who have gone above and beyond their normal duties, those who have excelled in certain areas and those who have played a vital role in our schools.

We want our readers, school heads, teachers, pupils and parents/guardians to nominate a special individual, a group of people or a school in one or more of the category options and tell us why you feel this person, group or school deserve the recognition and an award for their achievements. A panel of education experts will decide on each of the category winners apart from the ‘Unsung Hero' category where we will ask the readers of our newspaper to vote for their favourite ‘Unsung Hero'.

The entry process is simple, visit the Term-time Educaton Awards website for all the information. Find out all about the categories, what the judges will be looking for, and how to cover all the bases with your entry. Please give the judges as much information as possible to help them make up their minds.

The awards will be presented at the Guildhall, Northampton, on Tuesday 26th June 2012. The Closing date for entries is Friday 4th May. But we need your help, and your nominations, so please take the time to make a nomination now.
