Joules Yard

Joules Yard & Eating House is a unique complex like no other in Harborough. Comprising an indoor café/restaurant, an antiques room which doubles as a live music venue and an outdoor seating area where you can also buy plants and garden ornaments etc.

You may well have heard of us already but struggled to find us! We’re located off the High Street behind the Joules Clothing shop opposite Abbey Street. Just walk up the alleyway between Joules and Andrew Granger & Co Estate Agents. Alternatively come straight in to the Yard through the big green gates at the top end. Parking is available aplenty on Bowden Lane and Doddridge Road at the bottom of Burnmill Hill, or at Kings Head Place.

Wednesday is fresh fish night where for only £15 per person you can choose between two starters, two soups and two mains and, if you’ve still room, there’s a choice of dessert too. Also included in the price is a bottle of Pinot Grigio per couple - now that’s good value!

The Greenhouse - Every Thursday and Friday evening the Eating House becomes The Greenhouse a relaxed and informal restaurant serving only vegetarian and vegan food. There’s a good range of starters, mains, side dishes and desserts plus a weekly Specials board. We also offer vegan wines, beers and soft drinks. Open Thursday and Friday from 5 pm, last orders 8 pm. Contact Kerry or Nathan.

Saturday nights from May to September is live music night. The Antiques Room becomes a ‘stage’ where a solo artist, comedy duo or full on band will set up and entertain you. Entrance is £15 per person and includes a full BBQ (or vegetarian option) plus wide choice of salads, chocolate fountain and cheese board. There is also a licensed bar serving a good range of drinks.

Every third Thursday of the month is Acoustics night which is an excellent opportunity to see some remarkable local talent or even show yourself off! Now in its 7th year this event can prove to be very popular. The bar is always open and a curry will be on offer for £3.50 a head. Entrance is free.
